> Would you pray for the quickening of God in your own life, in the life of your fellow-workers, and in the Church in our region?
> Are you longing for greater power of the Holy Spirit in your own life and work, and are you convinced that you will not see God's end-time objective fulfilled without this power?
> Do you believe that prayer is key in order to see the Church of God come into true spiritual awakening, unity and power?
> If you are answering yes to these questions, are you willing to be proactive so that your believing can be converted to faith? (remember, faith without works is dead)
> Will you set apart a minimum of one-half hour each day to pray for this awakening, and are you willing to pray till the awakening comes?
This Prayer Initiative---
- Will be an organized prayer effort with the initial purpose being to see a Regional House of Prayer established.
- Will require a new personal and corporate prayer discipline and commitment.
- Will consummate in the establishing of a Regional House of Prayer comprised of groups of like minded believers all over the region interceding for the Divine Will of God to break in on the Body of Christ and a great harvest of the lost.
Please
1. Pray for the Word of the Lord to break in on our region.
2. Pray for the welfare of the City.
Jer. 29:7 "And seek the peace and welfare of the city to which I have caused you to be carried away captive and pray to the Lord for it, for in the welfare of the city [in which you live] you will have welfare."
Zech. 2:5 "For I, say the Lord, will be to her [your city] a wall of fire round about and I will be the glory in the midst of her."
Is. 4:5 "And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mt. Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shinning of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy [a defense of divine love and protection]."
3. Pray that no word of any prophet sent from God to speak into our region will be allowed to fall to the ground and not be fulfilled.
4. Pray for Unity in the Body of Christ.
John 17:22 "I have given to them the glory and honor which you have given me, that they may be one [even] as We are one."
Ps. 133:1 "How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."
I Cor. 1:10 "But I urge and entreat you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in perfect harmony and full agreement in what you say, and that there may be no dissension's or factions or divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your common understanding and in your opinions and judgments."
5. Pray against the spirit of fear and every other stronghold in our region which would hold back the work of the Kingdom of God here.
6. Pray for the authority of Jesus for intercession and for an anointing for warfare.
Matt. 28:18 All authority [all power of rule] in heaven and on earth has been given to Me"
Luke 9:1 "Then Jesus called together the 12 {apostles} and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases."
Ps. 144:1 "blessed be the Lord, my rock and my keen and firm strength, who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight."
Ps. 149:5-9 "Let the saints be joyful in the glory and beauty [which God confers upon them] let them sing for joy upon their beds. 6) Let the high praises of God be in their throats and a two-edged sword in their hands, 7) to wreck vengeance upon the nations and chastisement upon the peoples, 8) to bind their Kings with chains, and their nobles with fetter's of iron, 9) to execute upon them the judgment written. He [the Lord] is the honor of all His saints. Praise the Lord."
Matt. 16:18,19 "And I tell you, you are Peter [Gr. Petros--a large piece of rock] and on this rock [Gr.--Petra--a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church and the gates of Hades [the powers of the infernal region] shall not overpower it [or hold out against it] 19) I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven."
Matt.18: 19 "Again I tell you, If two of you on earth agree [harmonize together] about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven."
7. Pray for 1000 intercessors to be raised up and released in our region (Brother Michael heard this word 18 months ago, "Ask me for 1000 intercessors for this region").
8. Pray for the hearing and seeing impaired (physically and spiritually).
Matt.13: 15 "For this nations heart has grown gross [fat and dull] and their ears heavy and difficult of hearing, and their eyes they have tightly closed, lest they see and perceive with their eyes, and hear and comprehend the sense with their ears and grasp and understand with their heart, and turn and I should heal them."
9. Pray for the character of God's people, especially the leadership in the Body of Christ. A view of this character is found in Matthew 5:3-10. Pray that the Lord create in us all a:
- broken spirit
- penitent spirit
- mild-tempered, gentle spirit
- spirit that hungers and thirsts for righteousness
- spirit that is compassionate and merciful
- pure spirit
- spirit of wisdom and mediation
- spirit that is longsuffering and forgiving
10. Pray for the recovery of the House of God as a House of Prayer!
